ROUND 1
Simulation Time: —

Sandbox Demo Module

Facilitator

How to run a demonstration from this sandbox, and the notes a facilitator sees that players do not.

Operational Map
Pan, zoom and click any marker or shaded area. Overlays are simulated and change with the round.

Sandbox Demo Module

Exercise Control

Round clock, playback and the inject timeline for the selected exercise.

Sandbox Demo Module

Scenario Manager

The four prebuilt scenarios. Selecting one resets the round clock and rebuilds the dashboard.

Sandbox Demo Module

Mapping & GIS

The full operational picture with every layer and facility group.

Sandbox Demo Module

Situation

Where the exercise stands this round: status, objectives and every consequence indicator against its baseline.

Sandbox Demo Module

Intelligence

Every inject, warning, intelligence report and media item released so far.

Sandbox Demo Module

Research Assistant

A real-world lookup tool with web search, the same one the exercises carry. It does not see the exercise state.

Platform
A quick, personal lookup for real authorities, doctrine, and how past disasters were handled. It can search the web. It does not know your dashboard, decisions or round, so it is not part of the exercise record. This chat is private to you and resets if you reload the page.
Sandbox Demo Module

Decisions

Decision moments arrive as the round clock reaches them. Write what you decide, in your own words: the analysis reads it, moves the consequence indicators, and returns a 95% interval on every outcome.

Sandbox Demo Module

Resources

Commit a share of what is available. Committed resources improve the indicators they support, and anything committed is not available elsewhere.

Sandbox Demo Module

Injects

The master scenario event list. Items release when the clock reaches them; a facilitator can release one early.

Sandbox Demo Module

EndX

The after-action app. The exercise ends here; the learning starts in EndEx.

Platform
EndX
EM Disaster Gaming's after-action app
End the exercise, start the learning.

When an exercise ends, the facilitator shares a six-character EndEx join code. Participants enter it on their phone, answer the debrief and hotwash questions, and the facilitator gets an HSEEP-format After Action Report with an improvement plan, grounded in what participants actually said.

  • Participants join with a code, no account.
  • Voice-to-text hotwash on the phone.
  • Every finding carries the respondents who said it.
  • PDF export in the FEMA HSEEP 2020 format.

Coming to the App Store and Google Play.

Join an exercise debrief

Enter the EndEx join code your facilitator shared. The join page opens in a new tab and hands off to the EndEx app.

In this sandbox there is no live debrief to join; this is where it would happen at the end of a real exercise.

Sandbox Demo Module

Logs & Reports

Everything that happened in this run, in order, and the exports a report is built from.

Sandbox Demo Module

After Action Review

Generated from this run: what was decided, when, and what it did to the outcome.
